These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the HeyPaw mobile application ("App") operated by HeyPaw ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
1. Use of the App
HeyPaw is a personal pet health journal app designed to help you track your pets' health records, medications, and veterinary visits. You must be at least 13 years old to use the App.
You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You are responsible for all data you enter into the App.
2. AI Vet Check — Medical Disclaimer
The AI-generated assessments provided by the AI Vet Check feature:
- Are not veterinary diagnoses
- Should not replace consultation with a licensed veterinarian
- May not be accurate, complete, or applicable to your pet's specific situation
- Should never be used as the sole basis for medical decisions about your pet
Always consult a qualified veterinarian for any health concerns about your pet. In an emergency, contact your nearest emergency animal hospital immediately.
We are not liable for any harm to your pet or any other outcome resulting from reliance on AI Vet Check responses.
3. HeyPaw Pro Subscription
Pricing
- Monthly: $5.99 USD per month
- Yearly: $59.99 USD per year (~$5.00/month)
Prices are displayed in your local currency at checkout and may vary by region.
Billing
Subscriptions are billed through your Apple App Store or Google Play account. Payment is charged at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Free Trial
If a free trial is offered, your account will be charged the applicable subscription fee at the end of the trial period unless you cancel before the trial ends.
Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings (iOS) or Google Play account (Android). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you will retain access to Pro features until then.
Refunds
Refunds are handled by Apple or Google in accordance with their respective refund policies. We do not issue refunds directly.
4. Intellectual Property
The HeyPaw app, including its design, code, and content, is owned by HeyPaw and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the App.
Pet data, photos, and records you enter into the App remain your property.
5. Data & Privacy
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
We are not responsible for any loss of data. We strongly recommend using the App's export feature to back up your pet records regularly.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, HeyPaw shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or harm to animals.
8. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles.
